Job Description
This position will be in part of the Consumer & Business Banking Deposit Product Management group (responsible for CBB checking, savings, debit, pre-paid and time deposit products) specifically reporting into the Pricing and Analytics group. This individual will be responsible for strategic analysis and leadership within Consumer & Business Banking Deposit Pricing. This position requires significant practical business knowledge of the retail banking space as well as analytical and statistical skills. The role includes the design, implementation and analysis of price testing leveraged for the purposes of optimized pricing strategies. This person will closely monitor market trends for any pricing changes or new product introductions as well as macro-environmental economic analysis that could impact Deposit Pricing Strategy. This position blends execution of critical daily business functions with analysis and presentation of long term strategy to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
Develop, present and defend recommended Deposit Pricing decisions to Senior Management
Provide leadership to the Retail Deposit Pricing team in terms of strategy and analysis of data
Direct management of pricing analysts, interest rate controls for CBB, and rates processing
Assist in strategic management of Deposit Margin and Interest Rate Risk for CBB group
Design, implementation and analysis of Deposit Pricing market tests
Extract information directly from the corporate data warehouse ranging from aggregate to account level
Monitor daily competitor rate movements, special advertisements, and product launches by market
Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of price elasticity, financial analysis, accounting and fixed income valuation
Confident oral and written presentation skills in dealing with Senior Management
Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to highly complex and diverse problems
5-7 years in a similar role including Product Management, Finance, Treasury, Risk, Marketing Analytics or financial reporting
Masters degree: MBA, MS Economics, or similar degree preferred
Advanced skills in database tools such as SAS (preferred), or strong background in R/Python (some direct coding will be required)
Advanced skills in Excel or Tableau (with the ability to easily create visualizations for executive presentations)
Highly efficient and able to work accurately with large datasets
Ability to work and quickly adapt in a very fast paced and high pressure environment
