In this job, youll perform regulatory compliance and quality assurance reviews with a focus on assessing the design and operational efficiency of internal controls and use data analytics and assessment results to uncover business insights and identify, trends, issues and risk areas. You will also provide solutions and recommendations to management to reduce risks and improve awareness of compliance issues. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

* Participate in the design, development, and implementation of risk-based assessment plans to evaluate operational or compliance quality performance.
* Use analytical tools to assess data quality, uncover business insights and identify process gaps.
* Advise business partners on internal controls and engage ongoing risk management discussions with business leaders.
* Assist business partners in development of innovative and effective solutions to remediate non-compliance and/or control deficiencies identified.
* Work with large data sets and provide consultation or recommendations on its underlying trends.

Qualifications
The essentials

* Seven or more years of experience in leading Quality Assurance programs or Audit Programs or Compliance programs.

The preferred

* Bachelors Degree or higher level of education.
* Certificate and/or Licenses: Industry certification in auditing: CIA or CPA; in project management: PMP or CAPM; or in other related professional certification: CMQ, CISA, CQA, CISSP, CISM, CSQE, CGEIT, and/or CRISC.
* Experience using advanced Data Analytical tools (i.e. SAS, Python, Tableau, etc.).
* Three or more years of experience in the field of Analytics working with large Data sets.
* Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in the field of risk management, COSO framework, regulatory compliance, and/or ISO9001 quality standards.
* Knowledge of and experience applying regulatory and legislative compliance for utilities (FERC, NERC, CPUC, etc.).
* Experience using Data extraction, reporting, and/or analytics tools (i.e. MS Excel/Access, Power BI, DataMart).

* Relocation does not apply to this position.
* This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
* Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
