Dow has an exciting job opportunity as a US Gulf Coast Regional Turnaround Planning Lead located in Freeport, Texas.

The Regional Turnaround Planner is a certified Turnaround (TA) maintenance planner who is identified as a regional work process and technical subject matter expert. In addition to his / her core planning assignments, this individual is an identified focal point to support global and regional projects and provide expertise and coaching in Turnaround Planning for the US Gulf Coast and Canada region focused mainly on the state of Texas. This role will require some travel outside of the home location.

Role responsibilities:

Is a technical resource for training and planning certification process.
Incorporates improvements and learnings in the USGC regional TA planning Operating Discipline (OD).
Facilitates routine network meetings to facilitate the continuous improvement process across the region.
Works within the planning network to develop work process measurements.
Serves as an expert in the Turnaround Planning Discipline OD.
Supports and / or leads regional and global projects.
Troubleshoots work process issues in and across production, functional, and maintenance teams to formulate resolutions.
Provides planning support to core assignment as time allows.

Required Qualifications:

5 years of maintenance / project planning in refining or petrochemical environment is required.
High proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
High proficiency in SAP.
Ability to work 4-10s, but adaptability to work flexible schedules including weekends and nights.
Willingness to travel primarily to the Texas Gulf Coast sites (Seadrift, Freeport, Deer Park, Texas City, Sabine), and occasionally other Dow sites as needed.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish.
Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and facilitate decision making in high stress turnaround environment
Have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.


Physical Requirements:

Must be willing and able to do the following with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education:

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
