Job Summary
The Measurement, Controls and Communications (MCandC) Technician assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment including electronic instrumentation used to monitor gas quality and assist in the maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and sampling systems. Job responsibilities:- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment such as pneumatic control systems and electronic measurement devices.- Assist in the maintenance of the accuracy of gas measurement devices used by customers.- Assist in the validation of the accuracy of gas measurement devices used by other companies.- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments- Produce calibration reports. While developing in this role, will be expected to become knowledgeable of the operation and maintenance of gas regulating and measurement equipment andelectronics pertaining to gas measurement and monitoring equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
1-2 years of automation or measurement experience preferred.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above / below).
Automation or measurement experience preferred.- Knowledge of basic math with decimals and fractions.- Knowledge and ability to use a personal computer and related software that meets department needs.- Skill in the use of hand tools.- Ability to understand and complete written and oral instructions.- Ability to see objects at close range and to determine the distance and relationship between objects.- Ability to match or discriminate between colors.- Ability to respond to audible and visual alarms.- Ability to lift or move 80 pounds.- Ability to respond to emergency conditions which may include: changing flat tires, chaining up vehicle, operating jack, performing minor maintenance, and o perating a two-way radio and/or cell phone.
