The Licensed Practical Nurse shall provide bedside nursing care and treatment of hospital patients; preparing instruments and equipment and medical supplies, and maintaining patients medical records as directed. Works as a member of the health care team and accepts accountability for the technical execution of scrubbing responsibilities for those patients within the OB OR suite. The OB scrub tech is responsible for the planning, execution of, and evaluation of all parameters involved with the concise management of preparation of each surgical case. Must follow accepted safety practices for patients and hospital. Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs.

Reports to the OB Charge nurse.

Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients of NOMC and their families. Must follow accepted safety practices for patients and hospital. Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs.
