Lead Avionics Integration Engineer, Hazelwood, MO
This Avionics Integration Engineer will be responsible for integration of new mission system avionics into the Boeing Airpower Teaming System (ATS). This will require working across multiple Boeing engineering disciplines as well as customer and vendor engineering counterparts to ensure physical, electrical, and logical interfaces are defined, compatible, and working in time to support program test and demonstration milestones.
Position Responsibilities:
* Responsible for supporting planning and execution of test and validation activities of assigned subsystems.
* Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
* Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
* Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
* Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
* Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
* Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.
* Experience Integrating electronics into an airborne system.
* 5+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems or subsystems and components including the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Experience creating requirements for avionics subsystems
* Experience with oversight of subsystem requirement Validation & Verification
* Experience with oversight of vendor technical performance and coordination of vendor engineering support
* Experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines necessary to successful integrate electronics into an airborne platform
* Experience troubleshooting electronic subsystem problem reports
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+5 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
