The Principal Radar Engineer will be responsible to perform day-to-day administration tasks for the operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of the Joint STARs Aircraft, the Mission Maintenance Trainer (MMT), and the Prime Mission Equipment - Maintenance Training Device (PME-MTD) located in Warner Robins, Georgia. Engineer will also be responsible to document and resolve technical issues with the Joint STARS Aircraft, MMT and PME MTD. Engineer will provide support and technical guidance in the performance of all inspections, Operational and Maintenance (O amp;M) checkout and testing required to maintain the devices. In addition, the engineer will be responsible to perform checkout, operations and troubleshooting, of the Joint STARS Radar Sensor during Aircraft Ground Testing for future Aircraft Modifications and Software Releases. Engineer will also need to lift up to 40lbs of Radar Prime Mission Equipment (PME) and Equipment.

Qualification

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Radar Engineer level or a Sr Principal Radar Engineer level .

The Basic Qualifications for the Principal Radar Engineer are a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field with at least 5 years of experience

The Basic Qualifications for the Sr Principal Radar Engineer are a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field with at least 9 years of experience

Additional Basic Qualifications:

* Experience in hardware%5Csoftware integration of embedded systems
* Basic knowledge of RF fundamentals including radar operations
* Ability to meet physical demand of lifting up to 40lbs of Radar Prime Mission Equipment (PME) and Equipment
* Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations that include business trips and short term travel to customer facilities at CONUS locations.
* Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Radar Modes
* Experience testing RF circuitry and troubleshooting to the component level by following schematics
* Active In-Scope DOD Secret Clearance that has been granted/renewed within the past 5 years.
