Sr. Advisor: Development Engineer (JAVA) is responsible for technical analysis, design & Build activities Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. The current suite of systems includes multiple applications including, but not limited, to the Tier 1 systems for Retail Pharmacy (RxConnect).

The Sr. Advisor will partner and collaborate with the development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers in order to deliver Business change and innovation into our Java based business applications software. The Sr. Advisor will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production.

Apart from above, the Sr. Advisor Software Engineer Lead would be responsible for:

Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to our IT team

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform

Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions

Interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed

Required Qualifications
Overall 8+ years of professional IT experience

4+ years of software development and requirement analysis, design experience

4+ years of development experience for projects delivered via Waterfall, Agile, and/or XP methodologies, SAFE.

1+ years of experience successfully working in IT projects in an Agile development methodology.

Proven experience as a software Designer and Developer in understanding business requirements and translating into software solutions

1+ years of experience in understanding and analyzing functional and technical function points, finding gaps in functionalities or in/out Data conditions which need to be fixed before implementing enhancements.

4+ years of experience in dvance object-oriented design and design patterns

4+ years of experience in Agile Collaboration Tools (Rally, Jira, etc.)

4+ years of experience in Java programming knowledge JDK 1.7/1.8 with Java Swings (For Front End)

4+ years of experience in web and application servers such as Tomcat, Weblogic or comparable J2EE servers

4+ years of experience in Web Services (SOAP, REST), JMS, J2EE and/or Spring frameworks

4+ years of experience in XML, XSL, XSD, XSLT, DOM, JAXB and XMLBeans.

1+ years of experience on an Active-Active Site implementation of software Application

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of build/dependency management tools such as Maven, SCM (Subversion, GIT)

Knowledge of open source packages especially those provided by Apache, Google, and Spring

Conceptual Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate

Proven experience in Story grooming while working with Business/Business Analysts.

Database knowledge Oracle 11g or higher, MySQL or MariaDB, Oracle PL/SQL, Data Modeling concepts

Conceptual Knowledge of IBM Data Power

Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Technical field or comparable work

Experience required

Masters in Computer Science related program preferred
