Work Hours/Shift:

* Full Time/ Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

* Assists with Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and other Physicians in the Imaging department

* Perform Pre-Admission testing patient calls as needed for radiology interventional procedures

* Procedural nursing duties, including but not limited to: pre-procedure patients information work-up, documentation; intraprocedural monitoring of patient vital signs, administration of medication; and post procedural documentation

* Transportation of patients

* Perform requested vascular access for patients via Picc lines, Mid lines and peripheral IVs.

* Manage all drains that are placed by the interventional radiologist

* Patient education of procedures being performed

Qualifications
What You Will Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing upon hire
* Two years or more of hospital/ICU nursing experience required upon hire
* Must have experience in hemodynamic monitoring upon hire
* Vascular Interventional knowledge and skills required upon hire
* Proficiency in acute-care nursing required upon hire

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

* Bachelors in nursing preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

* American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI upon hire
* American Heart Association ACLS certification or RQI upon hire
* American Heart Association PALS certification or RQI upon hire
* Current NIHSS certification upon hire
* Current PICC certification upon hire
* One hour of Hip and Knee Replacement/Spine Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually
* One-hour Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually

Job Summary:

* Performs the lead duties of the Registered Nurse in the Imaging Department. Has been specially trained in radiological and vascular interventional procedures and techniques, PICC line placement and is part of the Imaging Team. Responsible for meeting hospital standards of care using the standard nursing process and skills of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the following patient care populations: geriatrics, adult, adolescent and pediatric. Properly documents patient care given. Assists other department staff in provision of basic patient care in Imaging. Communicates with Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, other Physicians, department staff, nursing staff and patients and their families as needed for high quality patient care. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
