Finance Lead, Planning and Analysis
Description
The Finance Lead drives the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements across the HR, Treasury, and Internal Audit organizations. HR, Treasury, and Internal Audit Finance support both US and OUS organizations with approximately $239MM in expenditures and 950 headcount, ensures compliance with financial policies, prepares management analysis of actual vs. benchmark results, prepares financial analysis and implements process improvements for direct areas of responsibility. Provides accurate and timely financial analysis and planning deliverables to meet both Corporate Admin and AbbVie Corporate FP&A; requirements. The Finance Lead interacts with all levels of finance and business management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Leads and develops monthly, quarterly and annual Plan, LRP and LBEs as required, including P&L;, headcount, balance sheet, expense and capital using planning systems and incorporates review changes of both financial and operational management
* Operates independently to prepare relevant analysis for each planning cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules for direct areas supported
* Works directly with Finance Shared Services on monthly close process and financial reporting to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance commentary for P&L;, headcount and balance sheet. Understands monthly results and communicates issues vs. benchmark to businesses supported to agree on resolution or action plan
* Provides management with clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance and risk; assesses business/market opportunities and informs/recommends prioritization decisions
* Leads financial reviews and approvals (purchase orders requests and invoices)
Leads ad hoc analysis, projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA a plus
* Minimum 6+ years progressive and related experience
* Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
* Proficient excel skills required
* Knowledge of TM1, ASPIRE and SAP a plus
