In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Director, Global Privacy and the Data Protection Officer with an international privacy program. Coordination with IT, legal, ethics and compliance, sales, procurement, and management of all levels will be critical for this role. While the company headquarters are in San Jose, California, this position will be located in Irvine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for managing the companys Data Subject Requests (DSRs) response process
* Oversees privacy vendor management processes, including special projects for vendors of Western Digital
* Project manages training and awareness campaigns; partnering with training and communications teams, where appropriate
* Project manages Records of Processing procedures; partnering with and taking direction from Director, Employment Privacy
* Maintain privacy records in the companys document management system and manages the Companys internal Privacy Page
* Actively leads the development of privacy dashboards for review by senior management

REQUIRED:

* 8 years of experience working in a large and/or global organization in a privacy, paralegal, compliance or related field;
* Privacy certification (CIPP or CIPM or similar) is plus, but not required
* Excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated team player
* Excellent organizational and analytical skills and a demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration
* Integrity, professionalism and a keen understanding of the sensitivity and confidentiality of the work is a must
* Professional presence, excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, and experience delivering crisp, clear executive presentations
* Demonstrated ability to be proactive and manage multiple projects simultaneously, focus on critical priorities and apply appropriate judgment in escalating competing priorities and substantive issues for guidance
* Strong work ethic and ability to produce high quality work under tight deadlines
* Ability to work effectively in a global environment and sensitivity to and an understanding of cultural differences around the globe
