Research Staff Member, Western Digital Corporation Research

WDC San Jose Research Center is a premier research center with more than 140 researchers working across many technical fields including storage and systems architecture, operating systems, CPU technologies, machine learning, and emerging non-volatile memories.

The job opening is for multiple Research Staff Members on several projects. Ideal candidates for research staff members will work on conceiving, prototyping and guiding research and development of new enterprise/datacenter architectures, CPU technologies, and non-volatile memories to design, modeling and verification.

Job Requirements

* Graduate level degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related, with a background and proven publication or innovation track record in subset of the following areas: emerging non-volatile memory materials and technologies, machine learning accelerator architecture and microarchitecture,

* CPU architecture and microarchitecture, hardware accelerators microarchitecture, architecture simulation, RTL design, modeling and verification as well as system architecture, and operating systems.
