Follow routings and properly complete associated paperwork in accordance with set procedures.
Perform first piece inspect of welded manufactured parts to meet blue-print specifications and tolerances and adjust setups accordingly to ensure a quality product is produced. Visually inspect all weld requirements for penetration and porosity.
Inspect work and fixtures, work from blueprints, and set up and weld parts as called for by shop routings.
Locate various assemblies or component parts into fixtures properly to produce quality parts.
Set and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds, and gas setting to produce quality welds.
Maintain proper maintenance on weld guns and wire feeders as needed.
Operate a wide variety of tools related to the welding process (i.e. sanders, grinders, buffers, etc.) as needed.
Responsible for communicating to Supervisor and or crew leader all fixture and machine related issues including machine downtime, damage to equipment, and or part availability.
