Provide ongoing reporting, process improvement, and tool support for Disneys Worldwide Shared Services (DWSS). Lead two Senior Financial Accounting Analysts and four Financial Accounting Analysts in delivering management reporting and metrics for the Accounting and Transaction Services teams. Lead projects related to global accounting and technology efforts to improve operational efficiency and enhance overall service delivery. Develop and maintain data models that deliver accurate and efficient reporting for the enterprise. Mentor team members with less experience in key skill areas necessary to excel in their operational job functions and project activities. Partner closely with the Mumbai-based Process Improvement team to ensure consistent support for the supported Accounting and Transaction Services teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership abilities, technical skills/affinities, extensive experience with process improvement, and an ability to learn new systems while functioning at the Enterprise, Segment or Business Unit level. This candidate should be familiar with current DFS and DWSS financial business practices, possess the ability to work with multiple DWSS transactional and accounting departments to understand a myriad of process issues, and to partner with a variety of functional and technical teams on solutions.

Responsibilities:

Project Management, Strategy, and Governance:

* Demonstrate an understanding of their specific business process and related objectives/priorities, and their connection to greater organizational goals.
* Create and monitor metrics to obtain trends and patterns that identify process/system opportunities and allow execution of corrective action.
* Serve as a strategic thought partner working with operational teams to recommend and implement process improvement/reengineering/automation initiatives.
* Design, configure and test technical solutions in accordance with delivery methodology, security policies and business requirements.
* Lead small to medium scale projects or portions of a larger project.
* Confirm business requirements are understood and delivered against to ensure technical solutions meet customer expectations.
* Manage the detailed tasks required to design and deliver individual reporting or technical enhancement solutions to business operations in accordance with delivery methodology.

Leadership and Communication:
* Think beyond area of responsibility and understand how projects integrate with or impact the Enterprise
* Effectively communicate with management, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and team members to resolve significant issues, clarify or interpret complex information.
* Allocate daily work for other team members utilizing internally developed incident ticketing system while balancing competing priorities.
* Provide guidance to team members on maintaining or enhancing existing operational reports/systems to achieve ongoing process improvement goals.
* Monitor work performance to ensure quality standards and service level expectations are met.

Technology and Reporting Support:
* Work with DWSS partners to understand and support their process and data needs within the various finance and reporting systems.
* Research and troubleshoot routine to complex issues (data or process) and take appropriate action to resolve in a timely manner.
* Assist the DWSS operational teams in the resolution of escalated tool incidents and identifying enhancement opportunities for existing applications.
* Coordinate the testing of new tools and enhancements to verify changes meet design requirements.
* Perform reporting functions, including providing governance over SQL report data models, deliver pre-defined management reports, and complete ad hoc report requests across a variety of reporting platforms.
* Partner with the technical support team to develop SQL data models that allow the capture and calculation of data elements required for report delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum three years of demonstrated relevant experience building, implementing, and supporting financial accounting, transactional and reporting systems, which may include external client-focused reporting or internal management reporting
* Minimum three years working on automation or technology-enabled process improvement efforts at the Enterprise, Segment or Business Unit levels of the organization
* Operational proficiency in major ERP accounting systems (preferably SAP)
* Critical thinking and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
* Experience translating strategy into specific priorities, objectives and action plans
* Excellent facilitator capable of influencing people over which he/she has no authority
* Proven ability in making customers the key focus for decisions about business processes (i.e. Customer Focus)
* High level energy, self-direction and motivation
* Demonstrated ability to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
* Proven ability to provide challenging work assignments and developmental opportunities
* Demonstrated strong analytical skills with proficiency in data modeling/data mining
* Experience with leading business intelligence/data warehousing and reporting systems (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects Analysis, or similar)
* Demonstrated computer proficiency within Excel (Pivot, Functions, Macro), Visio and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using continuous improvement and project management methodologies
* Experience in developing and maintaining key performance metrics for financial service functions
* Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization
* Formal process improvement, project management or business analysis accreditation (e.g. LEAN Six Sigma, Black/Green Belt, PMP, TQM or similar)
* Experience utilizing enterprise SQL database (MS SQL, Oracle, My SQL, SSRS) platforms
* Experience with building and sustaining robotic process automation solutions

Required Education

* Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred Education

* Graduate Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., MSA, MBA, etc.)
