Responsibilities

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is seeking dynamic and talented Outpatient Therapist for the evening CD PHP IOP program in Lexinngton, KY.

Located in Lexington, KY, the heart of the Bluegrass, The Ridge Behavioral Health System offers a healing environment that is reassuring to a patients' sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge Behavioral Health System is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and chemical dependency (drug & alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a six-day per week basis, days and evenings. Under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services, provides therapeutic group and family treatment to patients with mental and substance abuse diagnosis. Coordinates their treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process and utilization and review.

Qualifications

Education

* Master's degree in social work or other mental health field required

Experience

* One to two years of mental health experience required
* Inpatient or outpatient experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

* Crisis intervention required. This training is offered upon hire.
* Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field required; e.g. CSW (with an approved contract with the board of Social Work), LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, etc.
* If employee possesses a LPCA or CSW, then they must have a contractual agreement for supervision. This agreement must be forwarded to HR for placement in their file.

Other Skills

* Written and oral communication skills.
* Skills in case management.
* Skills in time management.
* Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology.
* Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
* Skills in conducting group therapy and family group therapy.
* Skills in conducting individual therapy.
* Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
* Must demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization's cross-training, orientation program. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
