Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: Attends to the patient's direct care needs and performs tasks as delegated by the PHP Program Supervisor. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups. Provides transportation for Partial Hospital patients and attends to partial hospital pt. needs. KEY PERFORMANCE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: I. SERVICE EXCELLENCE Demonstrates the three service excellence competencies II. HOUSEWIDE REQUIREMENTS Meets the organization's expectations regarding house-wide requirements III. PROVISION OF SERVICES Assists the PHP Program Supervisor with implementation of an age appropriate plan of care through tasks routinely delegated by the Coordinator based on patient's condition and the individual's skills. Assists the Partial Hospital Treatment team to provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees. Physical and Sensory Requirements: 1. Ability to read and write in English 2. Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers. 3. Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress 4. Ability to respond to pages 5. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions 6. Bending and lifting (10-40 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling. 7. Ability to pass Handle with Care and perform a PRT to a settle position. Audio/Visual Equipment, TV/VCR, Slide Projector, Overhead Projector, LCD 10. Hospital vehicle for patient transport EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: 1. Current BLS certification upon hire 2. Must possess one of the following: CNA Certificate 2 years experience providing patient care EMT Certification Currently enrolled in LVN, ADN, or BSN School of Nursing with completion of Fundamentals Medical Assistant Certification High School Diploma or equivalent
