Overview
Tower Health is seeking a full time Advanced Practitioner for Brandywine Valley Cardiology to provide direct patient care. The Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will perform evaluation and management of the inpatient cardiovascular patient across the spectrum of settings at Brandywine Hospital. They will participate in the assessment of patients in the Emergency Department as well as the Cardiology consult service. The APP will also provide patient care in the ambulatory setting at the off-campus practice of Brandywine Valley Cardiology. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic experienced Advanced Practitioner joining our outstanding Cardiovascular team.
Brandywine Hospital is 171-bed facility located in beautiful Chester County, PA 35 miles west of Philadelphia and part of Tower Health, a 7 hospital health systems spanning 4 counties in southeast Pennsylvania with 100+ ambulatory practices, 20+ urgent care facilities and home-based care. Brandywine Hospital has an award-winning cardiovascular program and is also recognized for quality with Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement, Woundcare and a Primary Stroke Program.
Tower Health has partnered with Drexel University College of Medicine to establish a new four-year medical school in West Reading, PA, scheduled to open for the 2021-2022 academic year. This collaboration will bring undergraduate and graduate clinical education and research to a single campus. When fully operational, the campus will train 200 medical school students. Most recently, Tower Health & Drexel University partnered to acquire St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia which adds the much-needed Pediatric acute care to the expanding health system. St. Christophers provides care to more than 100,000 children annually. In addition, Tower Health started an independent Cardiology Fellowship in the summer of 2020.
Job Summary
The Cardiology APP examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with the resident Cardiologist as well as other health care professionals. As a Cardiology clinician, the APP ensures proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The APP relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, as well as performing a variety of clinic tasks related the Cardiology patients; may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Qualifications
Requires a master's degree; certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA), and state authority for advanced practice. Familiarity with Cardiovascular concepts, practices, and procedures is critical. Experience is Cardiology is highly preferred.
