POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field Measurement Analyst will support and report to the area Measurement Supervisor and the support the area technical Measurement staff.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support the corporate Measurement Analyst by understanding the sources and uses of the measured volume, energy and analysis data, as well as overseeing the balance and other surveillance processes to control and validate the accuracy and timeliness of the data.
* Support the volume integrity as it moves from the field measurement devices to the office while ensuring that volume and analysis information is correctly captured, reported and transferred into the measurement and accounting systems and reported on a timely basis.
* Monitor, evaluate and support Measurement Repository (MR) volume and energy balances and support the daily plant performance reporting process (PPR);
* Coordinate and monitor the monthly close and volume consolidation process as it relates to liquids and gas accounting activities as well as reconciling reported volumes to source systems.
* Develop exception reports to ensure that data integrity is systematically reviewed.
* Maintain all aspects of TestIT meter calibration scheduling, including updating technicians schedules and test areas as the test frequency varies according to measured volumes.
* Properly document and process new connects, reconnects, temporary and permanent disconnects, and incorporate changes into the test schedule.
* Understand and process blowdown and leak reports for balance purposes.
* Train users on TestIT and be their local support for technical problems and issues.
* Understand and support the business processes related to gas and liquid measurement and the related settlement and control activities.
* Interpret business needs and create reports or processes to meet those needs.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, information systems or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
* 1 - 3 years Oil & Gas Industry experience, Midstream, Gas Plant Operations
* Knowledge of the operation, control and general design of various kinds of systems typically present in a gas processing plant.
* Proficient in PC and related software with advanced MS Excel skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
* Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
* Work cooperatively with people of various backgrounds and positions in the office and the field;
* Detail oriented and possessing strong analytical skills;
* Driven to develop and apply both technical and functional skills/capabilities; and
* Able to occasionally travel overnight.
* Regular and reliable attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2 to 5 years work experience in natural gas liquids and/or gas processing business with natural gas or NGL measurement, operational/volume reporting, or volume control/scheduling experience.
* Working knowledge of orifice measurement, ABB Totalflow equipment, chromatography, FlowCal and TestIT
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions
* Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs
* Ability to work in changing climate condition
* Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing
* Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex)
