Accounts Payable Analyst

About the Role we are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment with responsibilities that include verifying and processing vendor invoices; following-up and resolving invoice/credit memo discrepancies; preparing vendor payment according to payment schedule and vendor profile setup; recording checks received; post payments and credit memos; maintaining debit balances, and collect refunds effectively.

Receive and verify invoices for accounts with high volume transactions/business processes with minimal supervision

Follow-up on vendor claim issues/concerns and resolve discrepancies or disputed claims through effective negotiating to obtain optimal solution

Manage vendor payments and prepare weekly payment forecast

Prepare/print checks and record all checks received

Process vendor invoices and post payments, credit memos, etc. to vendor/client accounts

Reconcile vendor accounts per audit request

Maintain AP position according to Inventory aging balances

Coordinate with other departments (such as purchasing, warehouse, and Product Managers) to resolve invoice/credit memo discrepancies

Your passion is sparked by:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/or a combination of post-secondary education with 3-5 years of minimum related experience

Solid MS Office skills with expertise in Excel to include pivot tables and v-lookups

Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Detail oriented with proven organizational and problem solving skills

Demonstrated good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
