Application Support Intern
Technology & Innovation (T&I)
As part of our Application Components and Services organization, you will become immersed in microservices development and support activities for our Licensing Services. We work directly with our product organizations like NX, Teamcenter and others to build, deliver, and support web sites and applications that provide license fulfillment capabilities for our customers and prospects and self-service capabilities to our internal business users. These services are fundamental backbone of licensing operations within Siemens Digital Industries Software. The Application Support Student intern will champion projects to:
* Contribute to building self-service web applications to be used by our internal business clients
* Work on a team in an agile development environment
* Work collaboratively with internal business clients to understand their needs and build solutions to address them
* Work with on-premise and cloud technology (AWS)
* Produce and consume APIs
* Work in the full stack (front-end, back-end, DevOps)
* Improving quality of existing software by employing unit and end-to-end tests
* Debug, troubleshoot and fix issues for existing systems
Organization Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or a related field
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Result-driven, detail-oriented
* Eager learner and team player
* Works well under pressure
* Driven and self-motivated
* Working knowledge of Java, HTML5, CSS3
* Working knowledge of server-side Javascript (e.g. Node.js) is preferred but not required
* Working knowledge of AWS is preferred but not required
