Assembler BGA Solder and Repair

Job Purpose:

Sanmina is looking for an experienced BGA Soldering and Repair specialist to join our Team in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Candidate must have experience in component level replacement and have a former or current IPC soldering certification.

Nature of Duties:

* Replace BGA and Non-BGA components using automated and semi-automated soldering equipment
* Replace and rework fine pitch components using hand soldering equipment
* Disassemble, repair, and reassemble electronic products
* Enter repair results in data reporting tools
* Work with epoxies, adhesives, thermal gels, and solder
* Perform inspections of PCB workmanship to ensure products meet quality specifications
* Train and mentor junior repair technicians
* Pack and prepare products for shipping

Education and Experience:

* High School diploma or higher
* +3 years experience in manufacturing rework and BGA replacement
* Former or current IPC soldering certification
* Experience handling and reworking of RF components
* Knowledge of materials, tooling, and mechanical assembly skills for electronic Telecom products
* Microscope and miniature microelectronic assembly skills
* Ability to follow oral and written guidelines or drawings and accurately and concisely communicate testing results
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Fine Dexterity Skills
* Average computer skills
* Has willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
* Able to lift or move up to 30lbs
