Experienced IT Professional with 3-5 years IT Release Management experience in an enterprise IT software development environment. The IT Release Manager at Salesforce is accountable for driving and coordinating Salesforce enterprise IT project releases and regular Keep-the-Light-On (KLO) releases for internal Salesforce business application capabilities. The IT Release Manager will work closely with IT development teams, IT operation teams, and IT program managers to deliver high-quality IT application releases.
Job duties to include the following list of activities:
* Drive planning & delivery of high-quality enterprise IT software releases.
* Manage release schedules and milestones.
* Facilitate multiple cross-functional teams for releasing IT applications of varying size, complexity and duration.
* Manage and influence release processes across all functions within IT and business stakeholders
* Manage change control processes for the releases.
* Continuously improve release processes.
* Influence and implement best practices consistent with an agile development methodology.
* Define and manage release readiness and success criteria based on business requirements.
* Proactively identify and mitigate risks and remove obstacles to release.
* Guide the completion of RCAs to ensure issues do not recur.
* Perform environment planning, provisioning, and delivery of software releases.
* Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments through ensuring release readiness and adequate deployment runlist handoff to Service Delivery.
* Communicate plans and status, and escalate issues as required
Requirements
* Experience working with technology and implementations for one (1) or more of the following enterprise IT application platforms: Salesforce.com, Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, Workday, MuleSoft, Jitterbit, other integration platforms, BI-EDW, Informatica, Hadoop, and Adobe Experience Manager.
* 3-5 years of IT Release Management and/or IT Program/Project Management experience in an enterprise IT application development environment
Educational Qualifications:
* Any bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering (B.Tech/B.E/MCA/M.Sc(CS/IT)) or similar field as standard requirement
