The In Vivo Pharmacology Immunology/Oncology Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist with a strong background in cancer models and in vivo CRISPR screening to join our Quantitative Biosciences Department at our Research Laboratories in Boston. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to develop and characterize novel in vivo capabilities to support functional genomics in oncology. These new models will enable the preclinical identification of novel targets for therapeutic intervention as combination strategies to evaluate with immuno-oncology agents.

Responsibilities:

* Characterize the technical optimization of in vivo screening conditions, cell line selection, infection, cell passaging and representation of the CRISPR library.

* Develop and establish in vivo models to enable genetic perturbations at scale using CRISPR.

* Contribute to the deconvolution and characterization of novel targets/pathways identified to enable combination strategies.

* Evaluate the pharmacology of novel molecules, antibodies and other modalities for therapeutic potential in oncology.

* Function and communicate effectively in a highly productive and multi-disciplinary environment.

Experience:

* Experience in the selection, optimization and characterization of an effective in vivo tumor model for CRISPR screening.

* Experience with preclinical oncology animal models including syngeneic and xenograft tumor models.

* Proficiency in cell culture, passaging and harvesting cells is required. Prior experience with cell line engineering (transfection, lentivirus-mediated transduction) is desired.

* Candidate should be a strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and with a demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and excel in a cross-functional team.

* Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

* B.S./B.A. degree with a minimum 7 years of industry experience; or an M.S. degree with 4 years of industry experience; or a PhD in the field of cancer biology / immuno-oncology with a minimum of 3 years post-doctoral experience
