Clark Memorial Hospital
This position performs a critical role in the fight against COVID-19.
Covid Collectors greet patients in a drive through setting or a walk-in clinic to perform a nasal swab specimen collecting.
Collected specimens are properly labeled for lab processing following protocols and requiring attention to detail.
Properly collected specimens are vital to achieving accurate test results.
Daily work setting may be outdoors under the cover of a parking structure with a heated area for warmth.
Shifts start at 8:45 a.m. through 6:15 p.m. Monday - Friday and 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Saturdays.
Collectors work alongside a registration rep. and may be cross-trained to alternate duties.
Traffic can be steady but also may include some down-time dependent upon demand for testing.
Scheduling for this seasonal position is flexible and hours per week may vary based on the team member's desire or the needs of the operation.
PRN or work-as-needed positions are not eligible for benefits.
Must have good communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
Must be comfortable performing the nasal swab procedure with symptomatic individuals.
Healthcare experience preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
