Bluegrass Community Hospital
Bluegrass Community Hospital conveniently located just 12 minutes from Lexington has an exciting opportunity to join our medical / surgical department as a PRN Nurse Tech. This position will join our highly skilled team of nurses and will work under the supervision of an RN performing basic patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements and recording intake and output. You will assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating and ambulation. You will report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff and you will assist with maintaining patient rooms and assuring common areas are stocked and orderly. As an organization we are committed to meeting the needs of our community, patients and peers. This vital position will monitor and manage patient care to secure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent - required
BLS - required
Current unrestricted Kentucky Registered Nurse Aide certification - required
Position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
