Sovah Health is looking for a dynamic accounting professional to join our team. This position will support multiple campuses and report directly to the System Controller. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, can interact with management, and possesses leadership qualities. Must have strong organizational, analytical and objective problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions:
Prepare and enter journal entries and maintain period-end financial reports.
Maintain daily and monthly statistics
Prepare reports and analyses for administration as assigned.
Prepare survey responses and data research reports for outside agencies as assigned.
Assist in the maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed asset subsidiary system.
Assist in periodic physical inventories of fixed assets, supplies inventories or other assets as assigned.
Responsible for the addition of new general ledger accounts into accounts payable and general ledger system.
Preparation and reconciliation of CIP and Fixed Assets G/L Summaries.
Responsible for the maintenance, storage, record keeping for all the general ledger accounting departmental standard system reports.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to the general ledger each month. Maintain supporting schedules.
Assists with the development and administration of the organizations annual budget.
Analyzes account trends and causes.
Develops monthly financial projection using analytical trending data.
Aids department and unit managers in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data and reports.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting requried (Accounting preferred).
Minimum Work Experience
Two to five years of experience in financial statement preparation, strong technical and computer experience. Previous health care experience preferred.
