Job Summary

The First American Sr. IT Product Manager is responsible for working with multiple business units within First American to develop the strategic roadmap to take title automation and title decisioning to market. This includes developing the strategic vision, product planning and creating and maintaining product roadmap, and managing user acceptance. The Product Manager is expected to work with business partners to develop and prioritize product requirements, define the product vision and partner with the development team to ensure business objectives are met.

Essential Functions:

* Writes product requirements and user stories detailing the users experience and how the product is to function; work with designers on visuals to assist development team
* Accountable for providing clarity on requirements to development team
* Participates in client-facing demonstrations and is the Subject Matter Expert in the Product(s) supported
* Develop, maintain, and communicate the product strategy and roadmap
* Prioritize goals and objectives developed in Product Strategy
* Approve project scope and change requests
* Mediate with IT and business with project issues and risks where applicable
* Measures and communicates the progress of a project to the client and Sr. Management
* Competitive Analysis the Product Manager must cultivate knowledge about competitor products (including usage of any features in a competitive product) to help to determine/suggest changes that may help First American gain a competitive edge in our technologies.
* Measure Customer Delight define and measure the success of changes made to the product (ROI)
* Create appropriate action plans to address when success measures are not met
* Measure Adoption define and measure the user community adoption of product enhancements. Measurements must include efficient usability of the change. Create appropriate action plans to address when adoption success measures are not met
* May be required to work with Product Marketing to help develop a Marketing Campaign for the launch of a Product.

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

* Ability to synthesize the customer journey and user feedback into tangible product requirements and user stories
* Strong written and oral communication skills in order to define business and technical parameters and lead team to meet business requirements.

Typical Education

* Generally requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience
* Masters degree desirable

* Typically has 8-10+ years of directly related experience with an excellent customer understanding.
