Job Description Summary

DXC is defining the next generation of our internal networks. We are seeking a highly experienced, adaptable, and self-directed senior level network architect who can lead and take initiative within the DXC IT (Corporate Technology) team. The principal network architect will be responsible for defining and evolving the overall network architecture for DXC internal data and voice networks. The area of architectural responsibility includes WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, voice, data center, and related equipment and technologies. You will partner with the owner of connectivity services to ensure the network architecture meets the emerging needs of the business and with the network deployment team to ensure the architecture is deployed and maintained appropriately.

Essential Job Functions

* Develop a roadmap for the DXC Network 2.0 architecture that will include plans to enhance functionality, improve security, simplify, improve performance, and reduce cost will provide an improved user experience
* Author and deliver detailed documentation, including network diagrams, that detail the architecture of the network
* Ability to present network architecture to senior-level executives
* Demonstrated ability to understand current and emerging growth and redundancy needs for the network and apply these as needed
* Research and track new technologies and industry trends
* Participate in the development of a business case for network architecture improvements

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technologies, or related field preferred
* Fifteen or more years of network technology and technical architecture/design experience
* Deep experience with core network technologies (WAN, LAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, call center, etc..)
* Experience working with industry-specific technologies and vendors
* Deep experience with SD-WAN technologies
* Experience with Azure and AWS networking
* Strong communications and interpersonal skills

Work Environment

* Office and home office environment
* May require evening or weekend work
* Occasional travel required
