Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based specialty products engineered components and subsystems for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial, and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial.
Position is the entry-level position that is responsible for the basic assembly of the standard and volume-based products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Solder various electronic components, wires and other electronic parts to designated locations on printed circuit boards to IPC regulations.
* Assemble microcircuits requiring fine hand assembly with the use of microscopes.
* Incorporation of engineering change to new and existing products at board level.
* Record activity into a database.
* Review ERP for proper configuration control specifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The following is a list, though not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be in the referenced position.
* Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 is required.
* Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 certification is required.
* Basic mechanical skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Ability to read blueprints.
* Ability to interface effectively with internal customers.
* Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
* 2+ years soldering experience required.
* 2+ years related defense manufacturing experience required.
* IPC-610 certification preferred.

* Stand, walk, and sit throughout the 10-hour shift.
* The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Exposed to moving mechanical parts, and low voltage electrical circuits while on the manufacturing floor.
* Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
* Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when in restricted manufacturing areas.
WORK SCHEDULES:
* Normal work hours are 5:30 AM to 4:10 PM.
* Normal workdays are Monday through Thursday.
* Lunch period is 40 minutes per shift, unpaid.
* Breaks are two 15-minute per shift.
