Job Summary:
Evaluate and process warranty returns and non-conforming material through vendors and put back into inventory in the form of replacements or credits.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
* Coordinate the processing of returned material from customers through to the vendor and ensure proper credit or replacements are given.
* Work with vendors to receive return material authorization numbers and coordinate the delivery of the material.
* Communicate with customers on the status of their warranty claims.
* Evaluate returned material and make disposition decisions based upon warranty policy.
* Assist in the technical analysis of warranty items to determine root cause of return.
* Perform first article inspections on incoming materials.
* Coordinate the tool calibration program.
* Process and analyze nonconforming material founding in manufacturing.
* Assist in the repair of returned items as required.
* Demonstrate and encourage safe work practices in the department.
* Support the continuous improvement culture through the implementation and sustainment of lean manufacturing principles.
Experience Requirements:
* Prior experience in material return evaluation and warranty processing is preferred.
* Familiarization with a manufacturing environment and relationships between customers and vendors.
* Excellent customer support and communication skills.
* Computer proficiency in a Windows environment is required, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
* Experience troubleshooting circuit board systems and components is a plus.
* High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
* An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology is a plus.
