POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to develop and maintain a Plan for Every Part (PFEP). This position works with Buyers, Inventory Specialists, Material Handlers, and Kitters to set Kanban Quantities, support the development of Physical Supermarkets, and audit the Pull System processes. This role will also include Master Data Management as it relates to Inventory. This means that this role with audit Inventory data in JDE, escalate gaps to the responsible data owners, and monitor to the corrections until gaps are closed. This position teaches and trains Team Members across the site in Pull Systems to ensure a depth of understanding that allows those Team Members to be a first-line-of-defense against slippage in Pull System discipline.

Cross-functional and cross-departmental communication and partnership is critical in this role. This Position requires superior Excel skills and an intense attention-to-detail orientation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

* Develop PFEP in partnership with Buyers, Commodity Managers, Inventory Specialists.
* Facilitate the creating of Supermarket systems, supported by Materials Team and Inventory Specialists. This includes the creating of Physical Supermarkets, Trigger process, Release process, and Closed Loop (Receiving Board) process.
* Develop and Deploy Work Instructions as needed for Supermarkets. Train users.
* Develop and Deploy a Spike Kanban process to support the Buyers in handling a surge in demand above and beyond normal usage.
* Develop and deploy a cadence of auditing and review to ensure PFEP is a living concept.
* Develop and deploy an Escalation Process for escalating issues and process breakdowns.
* Drive the accuracy of Master Data by auditing for gaps and abnormalities, communicating with the appropriate data owners, and tracking to completions. Track and communicate the Accuracy of Master Data
* Analyze PFEP for Inventory Reduction Opportunities on a regular cadence. Project manage the Inventory Opportunities to completion.
* Teach/Train Team Members who interact with the Supermarkets, such that they have enough knowledge to help escalate and solve problems with the Pull System.
* Develop and share any regular reporting of Pull System status, to include the initial development and on-going sustainability and health of the system.
* Engage in and support other Continuous Improvement activities including problem-tracking and root cause problem solving, cross-functional transactional process mapping and waste reduction, and other kaizen activities.
* Perform other tasks as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University program required.
* Experience in Lean Manufacturing with specific experience in Pull Systems (PFEP, Supermarket Pull, Sequential Pull) a plus.
* Very strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong MRP/MRP II/ERP experience. Experience with JD Edwards a plus but not required.
