SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Associate Director (AD), Supply Distribution and Inventory Management position is leading, planning, and directing all operational aspects of the distribution of supplies and inventory management throughout the organization, this includes researching and implementing best practices. The responsibilities include PAR replenishment and inventory management, interfacing with other departments related to inventory replenishment and management, conducting annual and periodic inventories, and customer relationship management. The position is also responsible for achieving performance, financial, and customer satisfaction goals. The AD collaborates with other materials management and supply chain operational areas to design and implement all-encompassing solutions to achieve the objectives of the M.D. Anderson. Works with the Executive Director, Materials Management Services to set the strategic direction of the department and implements plans to achieve objectives.

Requires knowledge and experience in supplies distribution, inventory management, customer relationship management, and systems implementation and management. Must be capable of establishing credibility within the institution as a functional expert and a leader. Must also possess strong leadership acumen, general management skills and a strategic perspective. Requires strong analytical and process development skills, proven management and independent decision-making abilities, an established record of performance with strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent managerial skills, project management aptitude, and the ability to function in a data driven and complex environment striving for continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Seven years experience in inventory, logistics or a related field to include five years managerial experience.
