What does a great IT Vendor Management Analyst do?
The Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for day-to-day vendor management activities. This includes maintenance of vendor monitoring activities, data analysis and reporting, maintaining vendor documentation throughout the lifecycle of the vendor relationship, and/or administering vendor management software. This position will interact and work with individuals outside the Vendor Management Department for the execution of job responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintains collaborative relationships with vendors to ensure and promote effective communication, vendor performance, service delivery and ongoing relationships.
* Receives and reviews for completeness and accuracy all new vendor due diligence information.
* Boards new vendors into the vendor tracking system and sets appropriate review requirements based on the vendor risk rating and program requirements.
* Ensures ongoing vendor evaluations are performed according to a defined schedule. Requests, tracks, receives, and stores all required documents from existing vendors as required based on the vendor risk rating.
* Act as escalation point for all contractual, financial, quality and delivery issues.
* Troubleshoot all vendor issues and present to management as necessary.
* Ability to Interface with legal, finance, sourcing and risk teams to ensure positive vendor outcomes.
* Records, tracks, and reminds relationship managers of vendor performance and recurring monitoring evaluations.
* Archives all vendor documentation and evaluates for compliance with the Vendor Management Program. Ensures all documents comply with internal quality and retention standards.
* Compiles vendor data for analysis and reporting. Creates and provides reports and metrics to senior management, as needed.
* Tracks vendors subject to remediation actions to address operational issues or audit findings.
* Makes recommendations to the Supervisor and/or Director of Vendor Management for changes and/or updates to the Vendor Management Program.
* Assists in efforts to improve and automate vendor management processes.
* Participates in department meetings to discuss organizational objectives and gathers information.
* Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
* Handle special projects or other duties as may be required from time to time.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
* Minimum 3 years related work experience in office administration, contract, sourcing or procurement, or vendor management-related areas.
* Good comprehension of vendor management terms and concepts.
* Knowledge of vendor management software, a plus.
* Exhibit excellent PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
* Ability to take instructions readily and to formulate work plans that will provide the best results to achieve the goals intended.
* Ability to work independently with little direction.
* Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
* Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Display excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties.
* Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
* Bachelors degree
* Familiarity or knowledge of IT services
