DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Senior Antenna SW Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to conceive and design innovative phased array antennas control and test system. You will work closely with systems architects, HW engineering design teams & FW/SW design teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions and developed advanced tools. Additionally, you will engage with third party suppliers in order to drive key aspects of product definition, design, optimization, implementation and test.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Characterizing subsystems and systems related to antennas
Complex data storage
FW design and implementation
HW test automation
Application development
Design automation for 2D and 3D structures
Develop bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering, physics or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in one or more of systems programing language (C, C++, Rust, etc.)
5+ years of experience in FPGA designs and development tools
2+ years of experience in analytical programming (MATLAB, Python, etc)
1+ year of Web development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Full-solution/full-stack design experience
UI design and implementation
Experience in development of wireless systems
Experience in development of automation solutions for RF hardware evaluation and validation
Experience in development of antenna measurement systems
Experience in antenna pointing and tracking algorithm
Experience in Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) motion compensation algorithm
Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
