Amazon’s HR Global Content team is looking for a hands-on content professional to provide data-driven strategy and insights that continuously improve the performance of HR content. Our team is looking for a Content Strategist to lead a team of editors overseeing quality improvements across global HR content. The HR Global Content team is responsible for creating and managing highly digestible employment content that's easy to find and use. The role requires the ability to drive content projects from initial strategy through to implementation and post-launch optimization.

This role will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of writers responsible for authoring and editing content that enables employees to effectively self-service. Content creation includes self-service online articles, policies, templates, and other worldwide content. Additionally, this role will require the ability to drive content projects from initial strategy through to implementation and post-launch optimization. You will work with global stakeholders to understand the business priorities necessary to ensure consistency of voice and communication quality across multiple content types. You must be a self-starter who is passionate about providing high-quality content, working in a technical, fast-paced environment, and innovating to create process and technical solutions to problems. A successful candidate will be resourceful, customer-focused, and team-oriented. They will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines, and will have a proven track record in writing high-quality content.

The HR Global Content Team is a fun and diverse team with members in several different countries. We help to enable employee self-sufficiency by providing content for employee self-service tools and platforms that is simple, intuitive, and personalized. We work closely with UX teams and leverage analytics to better understand customer journeys and satisfaction interacting with content. This team will leverage those insights to proactively adjust content and focus on creating a world-class experience for employees.

Key responsibilities:
· Effectively manage several complex projects simultaneously while maintaining a sense of hustle
· Use project management skills to support business change, ensuring content meets a high bar for quality and is delivered on time.
· Be able to work across numerous business models and create certainty out of ambiguity
· Lead, train, and inspire authors and editors to deliver their best work in support of our business goals.
· Use superior writing skills and extraordinary attention to detail to evaluate, uphold, implement, and evangelize global and regional content standards
· Collaborate with partner teams across HR to ensure internal owned content, including policies, standard operating processes (SOPs), and other reference materials, are maintained and governed every six months
· Improve business metrics and content development processes using data analysis
· Use sound business judgment to make quick decisions under pressure in ambiguous circumstances, balancing advocacy with a need for action.
· Build knowledge using clear, concise, visually appealing, and user-focused content
· Identify opportunities to improve content development processes and tools, and drive team improvements autonomously.
· Enable our internal customers to easily discover content by creating best practices in keyword assignment and building an intuitive taxonomy
· Use a combination of data analysis, user research, benchmarking, and content audits to make content decisions and orchestrate content development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years leading a team of editors, technical writers, or other content experts
· 5+ years of professional technical or editorial writing experience
· Project management experience
· Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style and/or other style guides
· Experience working multi-site, multi-language content management system like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, Drupal, Alfresco, OpenText, etc.
· Experience working in a cross-functional team
· Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience influencing or implementing a CMS information architecture
· UX design or writing experience
· Translation and localization knowledge and/or experience
· Experience working in a cross-functional team
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Experience with document authoring tools
· Experience creating content with visual elements
· Exceptional writing and editing skills
