Want to join a team building new Alexa experiences for Smart Home Customers in a start-up environment? As a Principal Product Manager within Smart Home Core Components, you will have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience, design, architecture, and implementation of cutting-edge products and services. You will drive product strategy and definition, and collaborate with engineering to develop and launch features. As a leader on the team, you will take on challenging product management opportunities with autonomy and high visibility. You will deliver recommendations to senior executives and drive alignment across levels, functions, and organizations.

Customers already love using Alexa to interact with their homes through natural voice commands and intuitive interfaces. The Smart Home team is evolving Alexa into an intelligent, indispensable companion that helps customers get the most out of the technology in their home. The ideal candidate has a passion for innovating on behalf of customers, solid understanding of the software development process, and a demonstrated track record of delivering new features and products. They value collaboration, data-driven decision making, learning, and can comfortably communicate with others, in both technical and non-technical roles.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the development of the product strategy and vision
· Create buy-in for the product vision across the Alexa organization
· Establish metrics and key performance indicators for success
· Develop detailed business requirements, user stories, and product specifications
· Create product roadmaps that span multiple engineering teams across a large organization
· Evaluating the business opportunity and application of new and emerging technologies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
· Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Bachelor's Degree
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
· 7+ years of software product management experience
· Technical proficiency demonstrated through technical degree or equivalent experience
· Experience bringing new customer facing products or services to market by driving product requirements through a software development team using an agile development processes
· Demonstrated experience influencing and collaborating across multiple teams in a large organization
· Experience driving a product's go-to-market activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Master’s degree
· Experience with Smart Home Devices
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing executive leadership
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, suggest and evaluate technical solutions, and manage trade-offs.
