Students are given the opportunity to grow personally and professionally while building their resume through practical work experience with a Fortune 500 Company. Long-term availability preferred (at least 1 full year). Position hours are flexible, and part time (15-28 hours per week). The Payroll IT Professional Apprentice position serves to assist on Payroll and Time & Attendance systems like Kronos, ADP and Ceridian Dayforce.
Essential Functions
Strategy & Planning
* Analyze, document, and recommend improvements to existing workflows, processes, and standards.
Acquisition & Deployment
* Assist with the identification and implementation of solutions that provide enhanced functionality and value.
Operational Management
* Assist with help desk cases and produce reports as needed.
* Work closely with the Payroll and Time & Attendance IT team, to provide support and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
* Assist in the maintenance of User Procedures and User Guide for business users.
Incidental Functions
* Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the group.
* Attend meetings in participation with the team.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
* Currently enrolled in college degree program and actively working toward an Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree in related field. Interest in a career in HR/Payroll or IT preferred.
* Minimum GPA at least 2.8.
* Graduation date on or after May 2022.
Knowledge & Experience
* Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).
* Knowledge of business software applications is a plus.
* SQL and other programming skills are a plus.
