Financial Planning & Analysis is a critical Finance function that provides senior management with an analysis and forecast of Wells Fargos income statement and operating performance against corporate budgets, thus influencing the firms strategic plans and investments. This is a mission critical function that enables senior leadership to meet the expectations of our shareholders and to continue transform the company.

The Engineering Senior Manager will lead a large team of technologists supporting Enterprise and Line of Business Financial Planning & Analysis. The leader will have direct accountability for a portfolio of technology solutions, inclusive of third-party hosted and internally engineered solutions. The leader will provide oversight to ensure successful delivery of a large book of technology work supporting Finance, requiring that the leader partner across the Wells Fargo Technology organization leveraging the power of data, modern technologies, and artificial intelligence to drive transformational outcomes. The successful candidate will partner closely with Corporate Finance leadership, peers within Finance Technology, Technology Architecture and multiple onshore and offshore scrum teams to enhance and support the technology platforms supporting Financial Planning & Analysis.

This role will have primary accountability for developing and leading an innovative, world-class Financial Planning & Analysis technology organization in partnership with Corporate Finance senior leadership and partner technology organizations. The solutions and capabilities developed and managed by the team support internal team members across lines of business and have a direct impact on customer and team member experiences.

Responsibilities include:

* Develop actionable, multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps in partnership with Corporate Finance senior leadership and Technology Architecture.
* Work with peers in Finance Technology to help connect the Financial Planning & Analysis domain data with other Finance domains to identify trends and themes.
* Ensure a modernized, high availability and robust resiliency architecture for the Financial Planning & Analysis Platform.
* Identify and lead opportunities for simplification and automation and influence process change adoption.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas across Technology as well as critical enterprise partners.
* Partner closely with technology and business leaders to ensure that Financial Planning & Analysis technology initiatives are aligned with business, enterprise and technology priorities.
* Manage and allocate appropriate people and financial resources to ensure that initiatives are delivered within committed time and budget and align with strategic priorities.
* Ensure regulatory commitments are adequately scoped and addressed timely.
* Manage third party technology solutions providers to ensure delivery against contractual obligations and service level agreements.
* Assess current staff capabilities, identify talent gaps, and execute talent management actions aligned with human capital strategies.
* Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis in transforming how the business and technology work together to deliver value in a more agile method.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of technology engineering experience
* 6+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
* 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology

Desired Qualifications
* Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
* A Master's degree or higher in information technology
* 5+ years of Agile experience
* Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
* Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
* Experience presenting technical concepts to senior leaders
* 7 + years of experience delivering and supporting large, highly available enterprise-level applications
* Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

Other Desired Qualifications
* Accountable, self-starter with a reputation for problem solving and successful execution of plans
* Ability to lead and deliver complex technical solutions
* Expertise in Finance functions with an emphasis on Financial Planning & Analysis
* Experience with engineering complex models and/or modeling tools
* 5+ years of systems architecture and design experience
* 5+ years of experience with modern industry-standard software engineering technologies and toolsets

* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
