At OptumRx, a part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, we're reinventing Pharmacy Benefit Management by taking Pharmacists out of a retail or hospital setting and letting them care for our members over the phone. It's a chance to work in a non-traditional setting as you consult with physicians regarding medications and overall wellness. Primary Responsibilities

* Review requests for prescription prior authorizations
* Oversee the activities of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks and customer service advocates
* Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and Federal pharmacy laws and regulations
* Support department quality assurance and improvement guidelines
* Success in this role will depend heavily upon your customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, call center environment.
* Must be available to work between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday as well as on-call rotation to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree required
* Current and unrestricted Kansas state Pharmacist licensure
* 1+ years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting
* Must be available to work between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday as well as on-call rotation to include nights, weekends and holidays.
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location.
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Pharm D
* PBM or Managed Care experience
* Call center experience
