This is a temporary position of undetermined length.
Raytheon Technologies currently has an exciting IT position available that supports the Raytheon Technologies mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking a System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multidisciplined environment. The System Administrator must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data. The candidate is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure for both the classified and unclassified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, desktop and workstation installation and configuration; hard disk cloning and imaging via Ghost, MDT, and other tools; hardware relocation; user accounts management; software installation and support; data backup and restoration and file and folder access management.
Required Skills:
* Ability to satisfy Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and a supported Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date
* Knowledgeable in Windows and or Linux Operating Systems (OS)
* Understanding of Antivirus and basic security hardening
* Demonstrated experience supporting recent versions of Microsoft Office
* Ability to lift 15 pounds
* An active DoD Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years
* Basic DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory experience
Desired Skills:
* Knowledge of backups, principles, and safeguards
* An active DoD Top Secret clearance
* Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, and/or DoD/RMF
* Experience in Veritas Backup Exec software
* Experience with disk cloning software
* Basic knowledge of virtual computing technologies
* Troubleshooting basic workstation and server issues
* Ability to train others in standard IT processes and procedures
* Basic Windows scripting
* Self-Starter, customer focused, adaptable, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to multitask, ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
