Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Engineer Systems based out of Huntsville, Alabama on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) foreign military sales efforts. IBCS integrates disparate radars and weapons to construct a far more effective IAMD enterprise. IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS into their militaries, other nations will transform their IAMD capabilities in a manner consistent with the U.S. Army.
As a Staff Engineer Systems, you will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

Basic Qualifications:
14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
Previous experience with IBCS systems engineering
Fundamental understanding of engineering concepts to include requirements development, integration and test, delivery, and site activation.
Ability to grasp and define Concept of Operations and System Specifications
Ability to provide system engineering technical leadership during customer negotiations and in technical interchange meetings
Ability to develop schedule and cost estimates for a systems engineering effort on a large program
