This role role will be remote. Ideally, candidates will be located in Boston or New England.
Reporting the Chief Digital Officer, the Director, Digital Product & User Experience is a proven leader will lead the digital product strategy for Harley-Davidson across all our Omni-channel initiatives. This leader will play a key role in defining our product vision, roadmap, and product priorities and bringing them to life, creating revenue streams through digital products across (Marketplace, Digital commerce) and ensuring amazing customer experience.
This director level role will also be responsible to drive execution of our biggest strategic initiatives (Digital Ecosystem) and will have a strong influence in shaping the future success.
Reporting to this role will be multiple Product Managers that bring digital products to life within Harley-Davidson and the User experience (UI/UX) function.
Responsibilities:
Defines the Omni-channel digital product vision for Digital commerce, across marketing, Commercial, Financial services, Mobile, operations and service that support the strategy and direction.
Lead and oversees and directs the work of a high performing team of product managers and analysts.
Develops short- and long-range product and service strategies and plans.
Works cross functionally with all business groups to understand emerging customer and business trends that required enhancements or new product features to be developed on Digital Platforms.
Makes recommendations for the formulation of the strategies and operating plans of the specified area of responsibility, then, based on prevailing conditions executes or adjusts the operating plans.
Brings a strong financial and business discipline to roadmap prioritization and perform pre/post launch analysis of each product and drives team financial accountability for results.
Shares highly complex information related to areas of expertise. Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of objectives. Interacts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programs. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.
Accountable for growth and optimization of consumer awareness, market share and/or specified initiatives. Reviews the competitive marketplace and adjusts operational activities based upon identified information.
Assists in defining of the product / concept roadmap, Drive proof of concepts and pilots to validate value of innovation, including defining project scope, requirements, and success metrics.
Organize a user research plan with clear objectives toward developing a deeper understanding of user needs and finding opportunities for solutions and innovation.
Work with Ecommerce Analyst team to extract quantitative insights about user behaviors from web analytics tools and supplement existing site experimentation strategy with learnings in user research.
Education:
Bachelors degree required
Qualifications:
10+ years Agile development in a production environment at a startup or tech organization
5+ years in a direct Product Management role with experience in launching digital products.
5+ years leading Product Management teams
Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, combined with intellectual curiosity, and a desire and ability to get things done.
Demonstrate a passion for human-centered products and services.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and make decisions.
