The Account Senior Manager works closely with the Lead Relationship Partner and Key Account Executive to assists in developing strategy, tactical execution and consistency in driving and managing account team opportunities/activities within existing clients. This role has a dual reporting structure to the National Director, Relationship and Account Manager and the Lead Relationship Partner.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree with Seven (7) or more years of applicable experience OR eight (8) or more years of applicable experience, required
- Project management, relationship development, sales, recruiting, marketing and/or business development related experience, required
- Experience working in the accounting, financial consulting, business advisory and/or professional services, preferred
- Experience working at one of the Big Four or a national / regional accounting firm, preferred

Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, required
- Proficient with CRM, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and communicate BDOs business, marketplace and value proposition
- Knowledge of contact management software, including update, maintenance and list generation
- Innovative self-starter with the ability to resolve complex national functional problems independently as well as with collaboration with others
- Excellent strategic and creative judgment
- Ability to create professional networks, and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong executive presence to interface with Firm leadership
- Ability to organize and collaborate with individuals at all levels of seniority
- Strong leadership skills, including relationship management, sales, teaming, coaching, facilitation and decision-making
- Ability to navigate and work effectively in a heavily matrixed organization
- Strong analytical skills in developing tracking/measurement processes
- Excellent project management and execution skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on developing messages with impact
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as the ability to present and facilitate
- Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, marshal resources and manage change in a matrix environment
- Capacity to travel to the assigned offices within the region on a periodic basis to meet with assigned account teams, participate in events/meetings, and attend regional and national meetings, as necessary (up to 25% - 30% annually)
