ROLE SUMMARY
The Agile Enterprise Solutions (AES) team represents the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) for cloud infrastructure capabilities, providing foundational public and private cloud services to all business lines, globally across Pfizer. AES is a high-performing team, focused on delivering secure, scalable, compliant, operationally viable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
The Cloud Business Office Lead role will establish a dedicated function within AES for cloud service consumption management inclusive of billing/invoicing, forecasting, charge-back, reporting, and optimization. This role will interface directly with Digital finance teams, Creation Center consumer groups, and external cloud service providers (e.g. AWS) to effectively manage cloud spend across the enterprise.
The Cloud Busines Office Lead will establish and maintain an enterprise cloud optimization strategy. The optimization strategy requires instilling a continuous efficiency mindset across the enterprise that considers all facets of cost and usage within established cloud solutions. Strategy implementation will include the creation of a defined process methodology, continuous reporting, identification and pursuit of optimization opportunities with consumers, and use of cloud service provider features to control spend (e.g. Reserved Instances, Savings Plans).
A strict adherence to data-driven approaches, and a bias towards automation and tooling will be required to sufficiently scale Business Office functionality across Digital.
Working within Agile Enterprise Solutions is to be at the cutting edge of cloud technology within the context of the worlds leading biopharmaceutical organization, at a time when adoption of these technologies is increasing rapidly.
