Sr. Director, US Franchise Lead, Oncology Biosimilars

ROLE SUMMARY

As a member of the North America Oncology Leadership Team, this role is responsible for setting and executing the US franchise strategy for our portfolio of oncology biosimilars. This role will lead the commercial team as we continue to grow our portfolio of 6 assets. This portfolio of products is poised to deliver $800 M in revenue by 2021 This individual will be charged with leading the development and execution of the operating plan including management of portfolio performance while also establishing a sustainable US biosimilar market, managing a range of external business partnerships, and working across the enterprise to ensure One Pfizer alignment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Franchise Team Leader will need to build / demonstrate /execute the following:

* Partner with Global team to ensure glocalization approach is leveraged appropriately, resources are optimized, and redundancies are avoided
* Develop product specific pricing strategy and proactively adjust discounts/rebates to reflect changing market dynamics. Oversee the intersection of Provider and Payer discounts by participating in BCRC approval meetings
* Demonstrate strong field force relationships (including Key Account Managers) in order to sustain customer and field engagement with motivation, focus, and clarity
* Incorporate Multi-source and brand marketing expertise across HCP, payer, and patient marketing with experience applying traditional and innovative levers to support the biosimilar value proposition and build portfolio loyalty in an evolving and highly competitive category.
* Demonstrate Analytic and strategic thinking to lead evaluation and prioritization of investment options including SI&A, partnerships with the supply teams and trade off decisions.
* Demonstrate Strong ability to prioritize and empower team member decision-making to effectively execute business plans and manage product performance
* Lead the development of annual Operating Plan for biosimilars portfolio including development of long range forecast
* Continually refine go-to-market commercial model to reflect learnings from prior biosimilar launches and evolving market dynamics.
* Work in close collaboration with finance and Market Analytics to develop and track brand revenue forecasts and key performance indicators
* Build strong relationships within the oncology policy and advocacy communities that establish Pfizer as a leader and important stakeholder in US Biosimilars
* Serve as primary point of contact and member of JSC with Vifor, our Retacrit commercial partner for the dialysis market
* Work closely with Supply and manufacturing to ensure product supply, address manufacturing issues and ensure efficiencies.
* Ensure a collaborative working environment with partner functions including, but not limited to marketing, medical, sales, finance, corporate communications, regulatory, legal, and manufacturing;
* Manage competitive intelligence/response activities for the US in collaboration with BAI and the Global team; develop US plans of action as required.
* Partner with I&I and Corporate Affairs teams to:
* Shape the market for Pfizers leadership position in Biosimilars
* Lead US market development and biosimilar educational initiatives across key stakeholders (prescribers, patients, key customers.)
* Align on key policy/market development platforms impacting the US market.

* Manage talent within team, including talent planning, succession planning and colleague coaching & development; foster team effectiveness and cohesion to achieve business goals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors degree required
* 15+ years of experience required; US launch and in-line experience; partnership or co-promote experience valued.
* Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills; ability to translate strategy to a tactical, executable level. Experience leading complex projects and cross functional teams towards alignment.
* Ability to work, lead and influence across a highly matrixed environment; ability to mobilize key internal and external stakeholders and engage both colleagues and senior leadership
* Financial acumen with P&L experience; track record of leading an organization to meet or exceed performance targets
* Enthusiasm, confidence, high energy, creativity, ability to work on multiple tasks, and effectively prioritize to meet personal and team goals; demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and high change agility, able to act nimbly and redirect efforts based on real time in market learnings
* Ability to generate deep, targeted customer insights and integrate into business decisions; ability to synthesize complex information and distill key insights to drive brand performance.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation and facilitation abilities; experience presenting to executive leadership teams preferred.
* Ability to provide motivation, clear direction, coach and engage team members
* Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Buy and Bill and/or payer expertise
* Biologic experience
* MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
* Brand team leadership

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Some travel to be expected between NY and Lake Forest locations.
