Basic Job Functions:
This product brand is American Buildings Company located in Columbus, GA. This position will report directly to the Division Sales Manager. District covers East GA and North FL.
FUNCTIONAL JOB SUMMARY:
* Responsible for marketing American Buildings Company products in the assigned district.
* Establish annual sales plans for the assigned territory to achieve goals set with Division Sales Manager.
* Manage the development of Builders, Accounts and National Account opportunities.
* Establish geographical markets and monitor ABCs performance in identified areas. Implement effective Builder recruitment and execute cancellations of non-performing Builders.
* Establish plans with each Builder to improve market presence inclusive of ABC penetration, quality of in-place products and public image.
* Tutor the distribution base on product utilization, quality, and perceived value in the marketplace.
* Promote attendance of Builders to all training opportunities, ABC functions, and utilization of ABC marketing programs.
* Work with the Division Sales Manager to develop personalized training for self-improvement.
* Create Best Mark opportunities to improve product quality, service functions and enhance builder relations.

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of sales or sales service experience working directly with customers
* Valid Drivers License and proof of insurance
* Ability to travel extensively within the territory including overnight travel
* Metal Building industry experience.

* Strong leadership/interpersonal skills; developing relationships based on trust and respect with a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team environment across the entire organization.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Effective computer skills.
* Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Sales or Construction Desired
* Currently live in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory.

The Steel Products segment offers hollow structural section steel tubing products, electrical conduits, steel joists and joist girders, steel decks, fabricated concrete reinforcing steel products, cold finished steel products, steel fasteners, metal building systems, steel grating and expanded metal products, and wire and wire mesh products to general contractors, fabricators, distributors, and manufacturers.
This segment also engages in the piling distribution business. The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
