Microsoft Power Platform is a low-code suite of software and services that is designed to deliver data-driven line-of-business solutions that historically required technical expertise and specialized domain knowledge. The data integration capabilities in Microsoft Power Platform, such as Power Query, dataflows, and data gateways help democratize data for business users to seamlessly extract, transform, and load data in Microsoft Power Platform from any data source, and to allow other Microsoft products to leverage this data.

The data integration team in Microsoft Power Platform is looking for an experienced content developer to create compelling content experience for business and technical users to quickly connect to a wide variety of online and on-premises data sources, transform, analyze, and use their data in productive ways using Power Query, dataflows, and on-premises data gateways. As a Senior Content Developer on our team, you will be responsible for the content strategy, writing, delivery, and maintenance of content, including text, illustrations, and videos. You will work closely with PMs and other content publishing team members to plan the content strategy, write content in collaboration with feature PMs, and deliver content for each release milestone. You will need to develop a deep understanding of your assigned feature areas and customer needs, plan and prioritize content work, take corrective measures to improve content based on feedback and metrics, and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

Required:

* Seven or more years of experience in creating technical documentation, training, or other information for business and technical users, including system administrators, system implementors, and developers.
* Excellent English-language writing skills and prior experience of interacting with software developers and program/product managers to produce clear, easy-to-understand technical documentation.
* Experience with creating and managing content using GitHub and Markdown.
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent industry experience.

The ideal candidate will also have many of the following characteristics:

* Prior experience of creating content for products/services related to data integration technologies or creating technical documentation at Microsoft.
* Knowledge of trends in the user assistance, training, or content publishing industry.
* Creative approach to problem solving and a passion for creating great content experiences.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
