Responsibilities:

* Participate in the definition of key scenarios, use cases, and end-user experiences
* Explore and understand platform capabilities and limitations across Microsoft and externally
* Design, implement, and refine chosen solutions in close partnership with Product Management and partner teams
* Identify hard problems, evaluate the pros/cons of possible solutions, and drive decision making
* Learn from and collaborate with external developers to identify issues, understand scenarios, and empower them to delight M365 customers
* Become part of a talented team that values diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds
* Contribute to other engineer's growth through code reviews, mentoring, supporting, etc.
* Lead technical projects, mentor others, and model the culture of the team
* Diagnose and correct service and application issues

Basic Qualifications:

6+ years of industry experience in full-stack, front-end, or back-end software development using C, Java, JavaScript, or other high-level programming languages

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field

Strong problem-solving and algorithm development skills.

Ability to design, architect, and drive the development of large features or functionality

Demonstrated technical leadership experience with excellent technical, cross-group collaboration and communication skills

Proven track record of customer-focused innovation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with web technologies and knowledge of modern engineering practices like automated deployments with integrated quality gates and experience working with modern version control systems like Git

Knowledge and experiences with the Azure stack, Teams app development, O365 API surface, Microsoft Graph, or Fluid framework

Willing and able to learn modern technologies and open-source components to find the right tool for the job

Passion for developer experiences which enable effective end-user experiences
