Global Technology Project Manager, Customer Experience Team

Job Description

The Customer Experience Team (CET) Global Technology Project Manager is responsible for managing technology upgrades and projects within the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center (EBC), Experience Centers (EC) & Technology Centers (MTC). This role is based anywhere in the US, but is responsible for strategizing & implementing solutions for 45+ EC's & MTC's worldwide. Additionally, this role is responsible for collaborating with Core Services Engineering and Real Estate & Security stakeholders to manage the annual technology lifecycle program and ensure projects are being delivered on time, on budget, and in adherence to our guidelines.

* Facilitate inventory management and technology lifecycle planning across all 45+ CET locations.
* Outline business requirements by analyzing business needs and goals at a program and operational level. Additionally, ensure that all necessary documentation, including tool support, reporting, policies and training documentation are developed accordingly. Assist with training internal technical support teams as well.
* Join and contribute to international calls with global stakeholders taking place in the early mornings and late evenings to ensure projects are adhering to design guidelines
* Attend construction meetings to represent the guidelines and answer questions from Microsoft Real Estate & Security (RE&S) and the local stakeholders
* Partner with CSE Workplace Engineering Team and global stakeholders to evolve technology design guidelines in new and renovated facilities
* Review budget proposals, design drawings and floor plans for projects to ensure accuracy and adherence to global standards
* Conduct technology audits including virtual and physical tours of sites to update and maintain accurate inventory and reporting
* Technology commissioning and testing to ensure work has been properly completed
* Lead stakeholder workshops and design sessions to ensure needs of local sites and users are represented in project scope
* Triage support issues and provide ongoing guidance to internal support teams to achieve effective customer technical support.
* Stay informed of the latest and emerging technology solutions, including but not limited to those of Microsoft.
* Nurture long-term relationships among clients, stakeholders and vendor teams fostering a strong team alliance and driving collaboration on technology initiatives.
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Technically savvy and able to ramp up on new technologies quickly.
* Extensive experience with Microsoft solutions and current industry trends.
* Understanding of cloud computing and IoT.
* Deep understanding of existing and future Microsoft meeting technology standards.
* Deep understanding of current MS AV/IT support tools (i.e. MRCDP, WPE tools).
* Deep understanding and expertise with content protection technologies (DRM) and other digital media technologies making up the media stack (EME, HTML5, etc.).
* 3-5 Years of experience with managing customer technical engagements (i.e. pre- or post-sales engineering support roles).
* 3-5 years of experience in technical operations & project management in a technology-oriented organization.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) preferred
* Project management professional certification preferred.
* Proven track record driving cross-functional projects among several teams and locations ensuring successful fulfillment of business requirements.
* Creative, analytical, determined, independent, self-starter with the ability to effectively manage several competing priorities and tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; able to successfully communicate and collaborate with a diverse set of personalities, technical understandings and work styles, as well as, a wide variety of teams globally.
* Understanding of construction terms and processes. Including the ability to read, articulate and explain construction drawings.
* Experience working directly with high level stakeholders, clients & contract owners daily.
* Ability to travel globally as required (up to an estimated 20%).
