Azure networking team in Mountain View, CA is hiring Software Engineer to contribute to the core design of hybrid networking services.

The Azure Networking team continues to innovate across the stack, pushing new scale and features into the cloud and desktop platforms while transforming our infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the 200-plus Microsoft online services, including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and several hundred thousand customers using Azure to host and run their Cloud Services in over 100 datacenters, running millions of servers and edge computing nodes all over the world.

Our teams work on the breadth of networking offerings (Networking hardware, optical and IP networks that span subsea, terrestrial and metro fiber, Hybrid services enabling VPN and MPLS connectivity from customers? on premise network to our cloud, Edge services enabling optimized peering and routing, SDN products to enable customers to run their on-premise services in the cloud with Vnet, Load Balancer, Security Groups and Services, Application Gateways, Virtual Appliances to easily mimic on-premise architectures, and DNS services to reach and traffic manage services.

* Contribute to the core design of hybrid networking services, deployment models, and dev tools.
* Design, build and maintain tools to enable developers to contribute code, run tests and deploy services with automation and minimal manual steps.
* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
* Work with hybrid networking teams to support their infrastructure needs on a common platform and tools.

* Troubleshoot test/build automation issues, including performance and functional issues
* Large scale orchestration frameworks

Experience and Qualification:

* 2+ years of experience in software development with C, C++ or Java
* Detail oriented design, coding, debugging and problem-solving skills
* Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Web Apps, and similar cloud technologies u202Fu202F

* Demonstrated & innovative solutions to complex problemsu202Fu202F
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Familiarity with DevOps concepts that include continuous deployment, deployment automation, telemetry frameworks etc.
* Experience working in a networking and distributed systems environment
* BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experiences
